The Mission Explained

What would happen if...

What would happen if one person gave a year of their life to this church?   That is the question I felt God asking me as we walked into C3Paris for the first time.  They had already come so far as a community, and as a group of believers, and that was without any full-time staff.   If just one person would come and put their hands to the plow, I could only imagine what God could do with that!   So, I answered the call…   I will do it God, I’ll give that year. 

After deciding to go, and prayerfully considering all the options, God began to lay in my heart the vision for what was to be our mission in Paris.  He gave me three specific bullet points against which I was to measure everything that I was going to Paris to do.

1. Love the People of Paris – This means EVERYONE, the Muslims, the Catholics, the agnostics, the atheists, the rich, the beggars, the young and the old.   Love them ALL, and love them as God loves them.
 
2. Serve those looking for real answers – I believe that we are *all* on a journey, a spiritual journey where we are constantly either looking for answers or running from them.  For those that are looking for those answers, I will do whatever I can to help them find their next step.   I will serve them, their church, their pastors and consequently serve God.    I will be the journeyman that works to help them find their way.
 
3. Bring a Nation to God – Through serving and loving the people of Paris, I hope to create opportunities for life-change and tangible experiences with our creator.   I hope to enable avenues for relationship with God and a realization of who HE is, which will help people see who THEY are.

My next large step is to obtain my visa to France.   I am travelling to Houston to apply for that visa in person in July and would treasure your prayers.   Stay tuned to this blog for constant updates, and information as to how the Paris Mission is progressing.   Together, we are going to make an amazing impact.
